I recently saw this new animated movie and was pleasantly, extremely surprised at how great it is.  The basic plot is that a legendary Dragon Warrior would come to save a Chinese village from an evil powerful villain, and that this legendary prophesized warrior turns out to be a fat goofy panda who must be trained by a group of martial arts masters.  Yes it sounds formulaic but in my opinion it was better than ‘Forbidden Kingdom’ (which by the way would have been great if they had made the protagonist an Asian American teen). I thought it was just as good as ‘Shrek’ or ‘Finding Nemo’ or ‘Toy Story’.  ‘Kung Fu Panda’ has a star studded cast including Jack Black, Angelina Jolie, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu, and Seth Rogan.  Oh, and the music was done by Hans Zimmer.  Also…

...the visuals are *spectacular*, the film incorporates aspects of Eastern philosophy and culture and scenery, makes Chinese culture endearing, and in my opinion was loaded with laughs.  The movie is really quotable and also has lots of subtle as well as laugh out loud humor.  I think this movie was better than ‘Iron Man’.

Hey Alvin, no worries about repeating a blog on this awesome movie. Mine was pretty much about the soundtrack and my annoyance with the audience, and yours was truly a praise of the movie and a general description of its storyline so they are quite different. By the way, did you enjoy the “awesomeness” of the movie?

Andrew I did!  I enjoyed its ‘awesomeness’… and it’s ‘attractiveness’!  it definitely tweaked my facial muscles


I wonder if they’ll make a sequel since it did 10x better than Forbidden Kingdom

“Tweaked” your facial muscles Alvin? LMAO!!! I saw it too last weekend and I cracked up! I loved the part where that turtle was trying to blow the candles ROTFLMAO!!! He was like: “pooo...pooooo” LOL It took him like 5 minutes each to blow out a candle. Me and my sis died laughing and she kept poking me telling me “stop laughing, lol stop it!” hee hee I made her laugh more. FUNNY MOVIE GUYS!!!


Haha I really want to see this movie now! Everyone says its so good.
