Weekly Music Round Up July 12

It’s been a long week! Here’s your weekly music round up. There’s a new artist I found just yesterday and I thought she was really great so check her out.

America’s Best Dance Crew Episode 4

It’s like this show gets more predictable and boring every week. The entire time I was just counting down to when it would end. Last week was a step up and I was hoping that would carry on to this week but I was sadly disappointed. This week the challenge was to “speed up”. Each crew had to go from slow to fast while incorporating a transition. There wasn’t anything better?

No one understands this better than the ultimate gold digger ever so ambitious and opportunistic Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi. Bitch just nabbed herself a billionaire fiance, as confirmed by the man himself at a recent corporate event in Idaho. The two started dating last year and I am sure she already hinted for the engagement ring on the first date. Bitch wastes no time. I give this marriage a year max. One word to her fiance—prenup!

Final Fantasy XIII Ju Say Yo!

I’m a big Final Fantasy fan as well as an all around Square Enix fan. So when I heard that they were doing Final Fantasy I, II and IV remakes, you could imagine how happy I was. Not only that but they released a spin off of the VII (my favorite one) called Crisis Core which I’m currently playing. So far it’s been awesome. But wait, the series left off at XII, so where’s XIII?

Hana Yori Dango Fainaru! OMFG

A few weeks ago I blogged about how awesome Hana Yori Dango is and that Korea is now picking up the series. I also mentioned the movie for the Japanese version was coming out, and guess what? It did! Like the horrible fan that I am, I completely forgot about its release on June 28th. Regardless, the movie did extremely well.

HYORISH Album Photos

AAIFF Movie Review: “Gone Shopping” by Li Lin Wee

“Gone Shopping,” written and directed by Li Lin Wee, will make its U.S. premiere at AAIFF on July 16. Films made in Singapore are a new, fast-growing addition to the Asian film market, and this one—an offbeat satire set in a shopping mall—has gotten some good buzz. But when I agreed to review this film, I didn’t know I had a personal connection to Singapore.

Boogie So Real

The members from America’s Best Dance Crew Boogie Bots and So Real know the power of Youtube. This past Fourth of July weekend, the two crews decided to make a video asking fans to vote for them to keep them in the top. The minute long video doesn’t really say much but it is a good laugh with all the “explosions and transformations”.

These two crews are my favorites in addition to ASIID and Super Crew and according to last week’s results, they were the top four. ASIID was slumping last week while the other top 3 crews blew the challenge out of the water. Although ASIID has been a long time favorite among fans, I hope their performance didn’t hurt them too badly.

Game Review: DJ Max Portable

I have little or no coordination so I tend to stay away from tennis and games that require me to rapidly press buttons to a beat. However, this game was somewhat of an exception. It was recommended to me by a friend who is usually right about games being awesome so I decided to give it a whirl.
