This picture has been making the rounds on the internet this week. It features Spain’s Olympic basketball team posing for an advertisement prior to the games. Instead of grabbing their crotch like every manly athlete loves to do in pictures, they actually posed with slanted eyes imitating the Chinese. The print ad was for a Spanish courier company and first appeared in the Spanish-language newspaper, La Marca.
Seriously, what were these fucktards thinking!? Were they that excited about going to the Olympics that they had to pull a racist act like this to offend the host country of the game !? The worst thing is, the team and its management kept denying any wrongdoing when a simple public apology would do. What baffles me is that nobody involved in the picture, not even the professional photographer, seemed to consider that this ad would be looked at negatively. That’s what usually happens when you drink too much sangria and eat too much tapas!

8/16 update: I guess there are others who decided to join in on the
“fun” of imitating the Asians (I guess imitation is a form of flattery…
whatever!).
