I am not sure if everyone has seen David Beckham‘s Emporio Armani underwear ads but this is what I have been waking up to every morning for the last two months (The_View_From_My_Apartment.JPG). There is no denying that he is hot, but pretty soon he will have to share his limelight with the hottest Asian movie star Kaneshiro Takeshi.
Yes! The half Japanese, half Taiwanese heartthrob has agreed to become
Emporio Armani underwear’s first Asian male model. Words cannot
describe how excited I am now. 

Takeshi will appear in the Fall ‘08 campaign alongside Beckham. This
is not his first high fashion gig. Takeshi was Prada’s poster boy in
1998.  When interviewed by the press, designer Giorgio Armani
said, “I am excited to collaborate with Takeshi on this new advertising
campaign. He is a film and style icon in Asia where his fame transcends
cultures both East and West. His sense of effortless style is very
contemporary and sophisticated and together with his good look makes
him the ideal testimonial for Emporio Armani,”.

I am sure unlike Beckham’s underwear shots, Takeshi’s underwear shots
will not need to be doctored at all. Yes, you go put Beckham to shame
and do us Asian men proud!!!
