IGN was ninja enough to go undercover (not really) and record footage of the upcoming handheld Square Enix games. Go DS and PSP! If you didn’t know, I’m a big Square Enix fan so I’m psyched to hear they’re pumping out a couple handheld games for the rest of the year. No more boring train rides!

Well anyways, IGN manage to get into the preview party held by Square Enix themselves which they called DK(Sigma)3713. Weird name right? Well it stands for Final Fantasy Dissidia, Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep and 358/2, Sigma Harmonix and Final Fantasy XIII. Omg? No wai? Final Fantasy XIII preview? Too bad it was only a preview, the rest of the games were available for game play leaving FF fans to wimper. As much as I love Square Enix, they really know how to build the anticipation. While most of the games sound familiar, Sigma Harmonix is a completely new game for the Square Enix gang. It’s a card/music game that’s supposed to be funky and fun. Sounds like a magic show to me.

Base on the video, the games look awesome as always but there wasn’t much of a review on the games which I was hoping for. Not that it would change my decision to play the crap out of each and every one of them. These games are to be released towards the end of this year and early next year in addition to other Square Enix games. Kindgom Hearts 358/2 and Sigma Harmonix will be released for the DS while Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and Final Fantasy Dissidia will be released for the PSP. Final Fantasy XIII will be released for the PS3, official date is unknown. /die
