This week on ABDC, the crews had to emulate a Missy Elliot video while putting in their own flavor. It started out with an opening act of all the crews to a performance by Missy Elliot. It wasn’t that great and I barely remember it all together except for the random magic tricks. If anything, it was better than the Janet Jackson opening. Missy Elliot was also a guest judge tonight.

So anyways the first crews to be announced were So Real and Boogie Bots. After last week’s performance, it was pretty obvious who would come out to make it next week.

So Real performed to the famous One Minute Man. They attempted to incorporate the knee knock which they did pull off but the rest of their routine was a bit confusing. Even though the moves were detailed and creative, there was just too much going on. Hopefully they’ll make it through next week to the finals because this is one of my favorite crews. Judges loved them all the way through but JC said it wasn’t difficult enough. Uh? I would like to see your boy band ass do their moves. This actually caused a fight between Shane but of course the ladies broke it up.

So this leaves Super Crew and Fanny Pak. If Super Crew was in the bottom again I would have turned off the tv right then and there but they made it through and who can blame them? They did awesome last week along with Supreme Soul. I’m still pissed about that even though they were cocky.

Super Crew performed to We Run This, one of my favorite Missy Elliot songs. Not only is it old school but it is also a perfect b-boy song – as if Super Crew needed the help. The boys not only had crazy choreography but they blew everyone away with their energized routine that even contained what JC calls “choreography” plus b-boy. Also, they gave shout outs to the other three crews that was completely unexpected. Judges loved them and Missy Elliot even said they made her video to the song look bad. Ha! Guess we know who’s going to make it through next week! Oh and JC finally let the choreography thing go.

Bottom two crews finally! The show was actually entertaining all the way to the end. Finally no BS.

The coin flipped allowed Boogie Bots to go first with their performance to Work It. Their preparation video showed that they were hurt/disappointed by Lil’ Mama’s comment last week. The one where she said she wasn’t excited by their performance. Well this week I expected them to come back harder than ever but they didn’t. Whether or not the comment was still on their mind, they did have an interesting routine but not one that was up to par with the rest, including Fanny Pak. Judges all agreed it was weak and Missy Elliot said she wouldn’t take this if they performed in her videos. This was definitely the harshest the judges have been since the first few episodes. Unless Fanny Pak completely blew up, it was obvious Boogie Bots were going home.

Fanny Pak performed to Get Your Freak On. Again, they showed a lot of skin but it worked for them with their jungle fever routine. Fanny Pak hasn’t been one of my favorite crews on the show, but tonight they really impressed me. They stayed with their theatrical 80’s style while doing a lot thing that reminded me of the video. Now I didn’t expect them to do many tricks but they’re actually athletic; not nearly as much as Super Crew whom they called out mid-routine. Judges loved it enough to give them the first ever standing ovation in addition to good reviews. Too bad for Boogie Bots.

Obviously, Boogie Bots went home. Can’t say they didn’t deserve it. They were one of the strongest crews in the beginning especially with their gamer routine but since then the momentum has died down. Oh well.

Next week the challenge is 80’s movies, moves and style. Someone has an advantage.
