In my opinion, this is “must see”. It reminded me of some older Tyra Banks talkshow clips on the same subject, however this segment is even more blatant and clear so that there is no mistaking what is going on.
Even with the surgery, they still look Asian. Does this mean all asians can’t get double eyelid surgery without bowing to white media beauty standards?
people can do whatever they want. but don’t you find it interesting, that say 400 years ago in asia, double eyelids or larger eyes weren’t the beauty trait it is now? the issue is to examine WHY it is considered beautiful nowadays. i would argue aside from symmetry and health, that beauty is subjective, and changes based on societal and media images. centuries ago in europe, fat women were considered super hot.
people seem to do whatever is hot in the media. but who decides what’s hot and not? i would think celebrities but they’re also controlled by media.
I saw some girls with this surgery and sometimes it’s really hot and sometimes I saw when it went wrong. I feel you shouldn’t feel this is necessary to be beautiful.
