Olympic child singing star was a fake



The little girl who starred at the Olympic opening ceremony was miming and only put on stage because the real singer was not considered attractive enough, the show’s musical director said.

ouch that’s harsh =/

Yeah that is a big ‘OUCH’. Though this happens all the time in show business. I know, doesn’t make it right. They are also complaining that some of the fireworks were digitally added in.

That’s mean. They should have just put the other girl and put make up on her.

But the fireworks? It seems like people are just nitpicking now. The performance was great and everyone agreed, can we just leave it at that?

Apparently we can’t just leave it at that, crazy media. They just can’t believe how phenomenal the Chinese opening ceremony was so now they are digging for all the dirt they can dig for.

It’s China, everyone is going to be critical which sucks.

Aw, that’s kinda messed up; it’s just a kid… not some supermodel representing the face of China.
It’s actually amazing how they put together such an elaborate ceremony-- I visited Beijing last summer and the stadium was just being finished I think.

They’re just haters.

It’s expected. What can you do?

For a child, it’s unfair. Are they trying to traumatize her?

I’m with you, Jasmin. I heard the whole argument about China’s need to have everything perfect, and it does not hold water. The singer is cute in an ordinary-kid way. I think it was unfair to both girls.

As sad as it is, it happens all the time though.

Doesn’t mean China has to do it.

I feel so sorry for the girls.

I think when the actual singer grows up she’ll be pretty. She doesn’t even look bad.
