A very well written piece that has moved me to tears. Well done, Elena!

Wow thats amazing.

Nice post Elena!

What a good story! It’s good that he didn’t give up on her for being so hyperactive.

I wonder what the other Chinese coaches are saying about him…

Well it’s a semi victory for China.

Well it’s a semi victory for China.

China DOMINATED gymnastics btw.

She’s only 16?!

In the individual awards, USA won overall.

Thanks, everyone, glad you enjoyed the story. It must have been very special for Liang Chow to come back and coach the American team in his hometown.

Here’s a link to a China Daily article on Chow:

Hey peeps, I’ll do a full blog about this type of thing later, but I just had to share the laugh....my 2 1/2 year old son, who is himself half Korean, saw the Chinese female gymnasts and said, “Chinese take out!” I think they looked like characters in a book we read about Chinese take out. ROFL.

What a great coach. It’s good that she has a nice, understanding and supportive coach.

I will forever be drunk. ~BONK!~ m(_ _)m ZZzzz

Yeah most coaches only care about winning.

Oops, my last comment did not post. It’s telling that he gets results with encouragement instead of shame.
