You know it’s really odd to see 환영 as “welcome”.  See, whenever I say welcome, I say 어서오세요.  So the fact that Babelfish pulled that up as welcome kind of made me go UH the first time I saw it about a year ago.  But it pops up in my parent’s OLD English-Korean dictionary, so I guess it’s used; just that I don’t really hear it when I go to like a restaurant or something.

Anyway, thanks for the welcome!

Thank you so much for giving me the more “colloquial” saying. I’m still learning myself. I found out that I was spelling my name wrong till one of my Korean friends corrected it. So this is good for me.

Now that you put up the latter welcome, my ears remember it. 감사합니다!
