Anime Fansub



So how do you prefer to watch your anime - dubbed or raw Japanese subtitled? As a kid I remember watching G-Force (Gacha Man in Japanese) back in the UK which was dubbed into English - wouldn’t have been able to understand it otherwise.

Subs all the way until American dubs get better.

Fansubbers are so much better than dubbers.

I love my subs. Although I’ve heard good things about German dubs.

Voice acting is harder than subbing.

I say we start Ningin Dubbing…
But anyway, the only reason why sub is better is because the dumbass dubbers
sound like simpsons…

Oh and when you think of American translated dubbing…
“Giant Fireball Jutsu”
“Water Dragon Technique”
=_= so awkward…

Not all dubs are bad.

I feel like too many animes are rushed into debut in the US that’s why they’re so bad.

Subs are much better.  Although Korean actually dubs better than American dubs, I think.

That’s probably because it’s much closer to Japanese than English.

Most countries do better dubs than the US. Yes, even Mexico.

Because they water down dialog. They dont get voices that match the characters. The voices are usually over or under acted too. There are only a select few animes that have good english voice acting the rest are all campy.

Even if the dubbing is actually decent, I prefer subs.  I mean, come on!  How else will I improve my minimalistic Japanese?

But you’re right on how they choose the wrong voices for the characters.
