Listen and listen well, Yoshi. Take shots at me, not at the fans here. First off, it’s a fan film. If your going to get all pouting and pre-pubescence, do it over the Dragonball movie, not a fan production. Your wasting your energy. Secondly, if you honestly expect an independent production, to get actors that not only embody the characters but look like the characters, you are delusional. All we can do is the best we can, bottom line. Hell, this would be a feat for a major Hollywood production even with a major casting call. Read my frickin’ blogs if you want answers as you why Megaman is older or why any other changes were made. The reality is changes are gonna need to be made for a film adapation of pratically any adapted source material. Film and video games are two different mediums. I’m a HUGE Megaman fan and I did everything in my being to avoid this. Sorry buddy, but this may be the most faithful it’s gonna get and if you HONESTLY expect something more out of Hollywood, you are kidding yourself. They have the budget but they won’t have the heart and that’s far more important. The story is straight from the game, all character interpretation are true to the source material, and the feel is there. Whether you will love the film or hate it, I put everything I got into making this. Why? So I can show my appreciation for a icon of my childhood and to be able to share this with other fans out there. I don’t mind if someone doesn’t like the film or if they even hate it, but be a a grown up about it. I have gotten both good and bad comments about it and I can live with that BUT be mature about it. Tell me why you like the film or tell me why you hate it but don’t be an add about it and don’t take shots. True Megaman fans...what is your definition of a true Megaman fan? A fan who puts thousands of dollars of his own money, not expecting ANYTHING in return, into doing a visual homage for a gam he truly loves? A fan who genuine loves the games and wants to befriend other fans all over the world? Or the fan who goes on forums to take shots another fans because they are a bit excited about a Megaman indie film and by doing so, they don’t match YOUR definition of a true fan? To me, a true Megaman fan loves Megaman and will respect any other fan who shares the love. You, my friend, aren’t a true Megaman fan. I’m giving you 1 day to read this response before I delete this thread. PS: Capcom has contacted me and they support what we are doing so I guess we are doing SOMETHING right. |

Right on Eddie.
I’ve been a fan since I was little and I’ve played every game. Except some of the game boy ones.
I always thought the Mario movie was cool even though NOTHING fit in relation to the games. It was fun to watch in its own right. |

Thank you. You have completely embodied what a fan isn’t. Jealousy or Envy is more in the vein of what you have displayed. Yes, everyone in here understands that Eddie has taken quite a bit of liberties in making this movie, but the fact that he has taken his own money to make it even happen makes it OK !!! If you are such a HUGE Mega Man fan, make a better movie !!!! No.... Don’t feel like spending a few grand to pay homage to a great character and give something to others who share in your fascination with the series ??? No..... Then SHADDUP !!!!! |
