LPGA English speaking Requirements are racist



Since Golfweek broke the story August 25 about the LPGA requiring English proficiency from its players, reaction has been swift.  This was clearly targeting the South Korean players, since there was a mandatory South....

I think so. I always thought it was even.

They should just start their own international league.

They withdrew the plan… Thanks to many activists and a bunch of big sponsors who opposed the idea…

On a side note, while forcing the players to speak English doesn’t seem to be a good idea,
I think the players should make it as one of their priority to at least be able to do their
own interviews… It’s so disappointing to see the player win the tournament and just say
“I’m so happy… Thank you...”

What can I say? I’m greedy

Perhaps be like the Olympics. Pick 3 main languages. Engrish, French, and host country.
