Rant on Twitter Insensitivity

From the Ningin Voices blog, by on 07/18/2012 3:31pm (original link)

Twitter.jpg border=0 class=aligncenter So I’m sure you guys have heard of recent incidents involving Snoop Dogg and his careless comments involving SNSD and an incident a while ago involving Actress Lee Chae Young tweets degrading overweight people. Now doesn’t it just get you irritated how celebrities can be so thoughtless?

I forgive Snoop Dogg but I can never forgive Chaeyoung. Her’s was just plain mean. People need to think before they do anything

actually, i can understand snoop dogg’s tweet; it’s all resulted from our different cultures. there’s a huge different between Asian and the Western. (although I’m saying this, believe me I’m an Asian)

but Lee Chae Young’s is definitely a rude one. especially for women, body measurement is so not something you can publicly make fun of.

I dislike what Chae Young did, she should have been more considerate. But one thing to note that in Korea, it is okay and common for people to comment on each other’s weight, whether the comment be good or bad.
