English versions of 10 KPOP songs

Japanese is the classical way, since many go to the Japanese market to expand their success, while some other take it further and do English versions of their tracks. In case you want to take your friends to the KPOP world, but they don’t want to listen to songs in a language they don’t even understand, you can try to show them that your KPOP idols also sing in English. I feel like kpop doesn’t really translate into english music that well - because the english version inevitably ends up sounding wordier. And when you become used to hearing English songs rhyme, not hearing them rhyme is a bit weird. Out of all of these G.na’s is the only version I liked better than the kpop version. She speaks English perfectly, the words are translated well into English and it still sounds good. I don’t like SNSD’s English version of The Boys (mostly because I’m not a fan of the song in general) but I felt like the lyrics were just really weird. Raina’s was disappointing. I didn’t know the original lyrics anyway but that song hardly has any words outside of ‘make me feel real good’. LOL This is why I prefer kpop - so I don’t have to understand what they are saying - it just sounds good! DBSK’s was cute but again I prefer the kpop version. Rainy Days and Let this Die aren’t really my style of music so even though it was great to understand and it was sang really well, it didn’t really hold my interest. Big Bang is also really great at English and for the most part it translated well. Phew - I think I got all of them? lol =D Anyways this is just my personal opinion [Nice Point]

But I don’t really like the song - it’s precisely the reason I left American music, the lyrics are just....not to my taste to put it lightly. Hence why I value the ignorance in what Kpop singers are actually singing. I’m super proud of the WG’s though - their English has improved a lot and I think Nobody has awesome lyrics - it’s still catchy but still lyrical The accents kinda stop me from giving this 100% love, but in all honesty it’s 250% better than what I could ever do if I had to sing in a foreign language lol [Nice Point]

So I remember listening to the english version because I liked how I could understand it, and I liked it a lot.
