autoSubmit 7 days agoSchools that collapsed in the Sichuan earthquake may have been substandard structures hastily built in a construction frenzy, China conceded Thursday, as it said the death toll could top 87,000.
They should have at least been more careful with the schools. So many people already lost their children.
Let’s put a small note into this:
Bird’s Nest- Able to withstand 80,000+ people.
Schools- Barely able to withstand a few 100 students, teachers, and staff.
goomba isn’t far from the truth probably. That’s why I’m happy New York didn’t get the Olympics. Our resources would’ve been to make stadiums we really don’t need when our infastructure isn’t up to code to begin with.
Are they trying to retraumatize everyone? An earthquake just happened, you’re suppose to build stronger buildings…
